Security Resources

In the past few months, there has been a significant increase in the number of reported payroll fraud attempts across the entire payroll industry. We strongly recommend that you take full advantage of all available PrismHR security capabilities immediately. New Products & Features

Here are the most notable and exciting new products and features released in Q4. Read the Additional Updates section for more detail on all updates and enhancements.

We’ve added Rehire Onboarding, giving you the option to initiate the onboarding process when rehiring a terminated employee. This is a feature many customers asked about last year at PrismHR LIVE. Also new in Onboarding, employees can set up a pay card account for direct deposit.

In Benefits Enrollment, gender and tobacco-banded rates are now available in group benefit plans. Employees can also initiate life events right from Employee Portal.

Multi-factor authentication (MFA) is now available in Employee Portal. You can enable MFA for individual clients or globally. Enabling MFA offers an additional layer of security to verify a user’s identity and prevent unauthorized access to employee data. It’s a best practice that should be of heightened interest given the recent increase in payroll and direct deposit fraud attempts targeting HROs and worksite employees.

In Payroll, we’ve added several in-demand features, including Allocated Tips functionality. You can also now bulk process W2 web access, allowing you to save time by making updates to multiple clients at once. For more on W2s, check out the replay of our webinar on year-end processing.

Be sure to read about Benefits Enrollment 2.11, which features gender and tobacco-banded rates for group benefit plans and the availability of life events in Employee Portal. Also, check out Benefits Enrollment 2.10.1, which includes current rates displaying in the current benefits form and a new alternate base calculation option for disability plans. And PrismHR 1.13includes the addition of a one-time HSA match feature code.

PrismHR Payroll, Benefits & HR

The Quarterly Release of PrismHR 1.13 includes improvements to WC rate templates entryimporting one-time deductionsnew hire reporting, and bulk processing of Form W-2. It also includes manual check entry form enhancements such as an added ‘hours worked’ field and the ability to edit deductions/taxesAllocated tips are now enabled, and allocated tips reports and calculation query on initialized and posted vouchers have also been added. Benefits Enrollment

Benefits Enrollment 2.11 includes an enhancement for service providers to indicate which Employee Portal components to include in life events changes. It also includes new functionality within benefit plans to accommodate gender and tobacco-banded medical, dental or insurance class plans. There is also a new offer type called “critical illness as life” for use with plans that are too difficult to convert to a tobacco-banded medical class. For more information, read the release notes.

The PrismHR Onboarding 1.2 release includes support for pay card and rehire onboardingemployee information PDFdashboard reminders, and data issue protection and messages. For more information, read the release notes.

Maintenance releases include fixes like Symmetry tax forms now display when using the Safari browser, the select list field type is now available in the form editor layout tabthe W-4 forms for OregonWisconsinIndianaand Kansas have been updated, and several other fixes. Employee Portal

The quarterly release of Employee Portal 2.4 includes the ability for employees to initiate a life event for clients using PrismHR Benefit EnrollmentMulti-Factor Authenticationquickstart tours to assist in configuring Employee Portal, and much more. Read the release notes for more information.

The maintenance release of Employee Portal included several fixes, such as the Display Future Checks feature which is now working correctly, the Handicapped field has been renamed to Disabledemployees can no longer enter 0 as a fixed or percent amount for direct deposit, and more. The quarterly release of API 1.15 includes Employer Contributions now showing in the Employee Payroll Voucherssupport for pay cardsimprovements to online interactive documentation, as well as various performance improvements and fixes. For more information, read the release notes.

Known Issues List

For the first time, PrismHR has published a list of known issues within the CRC. This list contains known issues from the December 2018 Quarterly Release and the subsequent Maintenance Release. For each item listed, we are including information such as the tracking number, description of the issue, and workarounds you can use until the issue is addressed. We are also updating this list regularly with the latest status, including an expected resolution time whenever possible. We plan to continue this practice and expand the list of known issues over time.
