Payday notifications allow you to communicate with employees in a brand new way.

Create a customized message that will be sent automatically to employees enrolled in direct deposit on each payday. You can also create message templates that include content specific to the time of year or a specific event. For example, in December you might remind employees of holiday office hours and ask them to verify their mailing address for upcoming W-2 processing.

Employees enrolled in direct deposit can now receive a payday notification by text or email on the day they have been paid.

Service providers have the option to enable this feature and once enabled, employees can customize their communications preferences (e.g., email, text, or both) or disable the notification.

New document management functionality will be rolled out with an off-cycle release by year-end. This will provide a common storage location for documents that are currently stored in different locations, making documents easier to find and access.

In addition, each document category (e.g., I-9) can be separately secured, providing greater flexibility for configuring who can view documents. After the off-cycle release, PrismHR will individually contact customers to schedule their activation.

You can now create customized underwriting questions for certain types of benefit plans.

This new functionality enables you to expand your benefit offerings to include those that require additional information for determining eligibility, and eliminates the need to manually process them outside of the platform. It also helps employees immediately understand whether they qualify for the option based on carrier requirements.

“Save as and share” functionality has been added for Report Center admins.

The report name, description, category, tags, and the roles it’s shared with are all available for the admin to edit before sharing. The first templated report, Gross to Net Register, has been added—offering a more modern look, improved readability, and more data on the page. We’ve also laid the groundwork for more complex reports, as well as enhancements to filtering and sorting which will be available in future releases.

Note: Report Center updates will follow shortly after the quarterly release.

The API has added more support for benefits with the addition of group benefit billing and premium rates.

When creating a PrismHR user via the API, we’ve added the ability to choose a username. Masking of certain pieces of data has also been added to a number of methods (such as getEmployee). If any of that data is needed, it can be unmasked by adding an unmasking string to the web service user screen. This provides increased security when working with 3rd-party vendors who use the API.

We encourage you to thoroughly review the release notes prior to upgrading to API 1.23, as these changes may require you to make adjustments.

Instead of generating SUTA files for one employer at a time, they can now be generated for multiple employers at once. This change will greatly improve what was previously an extremely time consuming task. In addition, all year-end reports (W-2s and 1099) have been ported over.

In PrismHR ATS, we’ve introduced a number of user experience improvements and laid the behind-the-scenes groundwork for some exciting future enhancements.

The Candidate Landing Page now includes “sticky” filters where the system will remember the filters you select as you move around the system and return to that screen. Candidate Detail is now full screen, and has been refactored, building the framework for the upcoming Forms Builder tool.

A number of new job board integrations have been added, and you’ll continue to see the pace at which we add new integrations increase over the coming months.

Development continues on the SIDES integration that will allow employers and third-party administrators to streamline the exchange of unemployment information with states.

We’re also working on an integration with Gradient AI which will deliver you a risk ranking based on client information you supply (e.g., state, code, payroll, loss info, # of employees). And in the ClientSpace pricing console, you can now re-upload pricing data easily without having to manually enter additional states and codes.

ClientSpace enhancements are released monthly. Read the release notes for Release 97.

A number of Form 941 updates have been made to accommodate IRS changes related to employee social security deferral, revisions to Schedule B instructions, and others.

We’ve also updated the MasterTax RTS to v40. PDF support is now available for Forms W-2, W2-C, 1099 and 1095. In PPP Forgiveness news, a new “Salary Reduction Analysis” report is available.

Rob Roberts (Director, User Experience) and his team of UX designers provide an update on user research focused on Unified Employee Experience (UEX), ACA, and Report Center.

Final release notes will be available at the time of the release in the Customer Resource Center.
