The Q1 2024 Release is scheduled to be deployed on the following Saturdays: 3/9, 3/16, 3/23. Each quarter we release new features and enhancements across the platform to help you compete, operate efficiently, and expand opportunities to deliver value to your clients.
This feature or enhancement was inspired by customer feedback through one of the PrismHR Voice of the Customer programs.
New Report Center Platform (Beta Release): Unlock new levels of insight, create ad-hoc reports, understand the story your data is telling—and a whole lot more. The beta release will be available March 1.
Total Compensation Dashboard: This top customer-requested feature gives employees a comprehensive view of their entire compensation package, encompassing direct pay, benefits, paid time off, and more.
Manager Self-Service Functionality: Designed to enhance manager capabilities within the portal, the following approvals are now available: Pay Rate Change, Position Change, Status Type, Payroll Approval, and Rehire.
Benefit Rates Import: Quickly import group benefit rates—including Benefit Premium and Billing Rates—replacing a time-consuming manual process (or the need for data engineering support). With import templates and validations, this enhanced process focuses both on speed and accuracy.
Enhanced SuperBatch: Along with a modern UX, this enhancement helps improve payroll efficiency by providing quick insights about in-progress payrolls, improved payroll filtering, the ability to quickly reassign payrolls, and easier navigation during the payroll process.

New Report Center Platform (Beta Release): Unlock new levels of insight, create ad-hoc reports, understand the story your data is telling—and a whole lot more. Forty-seven reports will be included in the beta release which will be available February 23.
Ad-Hoc Reporting Capabilities: Leverage dozens of datasets and thousands of data elements to effortlessly create custom reports.
Data Visualizations: Transform data into compelling visuals to understand the stories your data is telling and to help inform strategic business decisions.
Configurable Dashboards: With an intuitive drag-and-drop interface, you can generate a custom dashboard that puts the information most important to you front and center.
Custom Calculations: Define both complex and simple formulas within a report to create new data columns. Increase efficiency by defining formulas within the report without having to recreate them in individual Excel reports.
Pivoting Data: Dynamically organize and analyze multidimensional data, providing a 360-degree view of workforce insights. Uncover deeper, more nuanced patterns within your workforce data (emulating spreadsheet pivot table functionality).
Faster Access to Data: Get real-time access to actionable insights with integration to the PrismHR Data Warehouse.
Data Warehouse Integration: The new reporting engine and Data Warehouse architecture have aligned to deliver a first-class analytics experience with a focus on seamlessness and security.

Pro-Rate PTO: A top-five feature request from customers, this update significantly reduces the number of plans that will need to be set up for clients who require pro-rated accruals, streamlining the entire PTO management process.
Archive PTO: Save PTO enrollments for historical reference without allowing accruals. This feature is designed to assist you in audits and address any questions related to historical plans.
Enhanced Payroll Notes: The Payroll Notes screen has been standardized, whether you access the Payroll Notes from the Client or Timesheet, the view will be universal, ensuring a consistent look and feel across all access points. Now, you can seamlessly complete notes, providing a clear and easily trackable record of work in progress.

PTO Estimator Disabling Feature: Customize the visibility of the PTO estimator if it doesn’t align with your specific plans.
Global PTO Added to Employee Portal: Global PTO is now supported within Employee Portal with the same configurations within PrismHR.

Preferred Name: Employees can now enter their chosen name, facilitating a more inclusive employee experience.
Mass Remove Enrollments: Easily remove multiple enrollment workflows from an active batch.

Successor Deferrals: The Retirement Register Adjustments now include four separate amounts to input employee successor deferral amounts, including Successor Retirement Deferral, Successor Catch-up Deferral, Successor ROTH Deferral and Successor ROTH Catch-up Deferral. You can now import these amounts which will create adjustment vouchers, update the Employee Tax Deferral Register, and most importantly, these amounts will be used in enforcement of the IRS annual limits.

New Data and Functionality: Additions include writing labor unions, returning unbundled billing rules, writing client tax settings and the ability to update G/L setup of all types.
SUTA Billing Rate Updates: Improve efficiency when retrieving SUTA billing rates with filters and date options that return multiple rates at one time. The current endpoint returns a single SUTA billing rate and requires the exact effective date to retrieve the data. The new endpoint is more flexible and returns multiple rates at a time to improve efficiency and ease of use.
API Security Messaging: New messaging capabilities on the web service user form and online PrismHR documentation regarding API security make it easier to apply security settings for API access for your vendors.
EFW2C File Output Support: Improve operational efficiency and reduce risk for manual data entry errors to SSA through refined file structures for submitting W2C data electronically.
AL Overtime Exemption Support: In accordance with overtime wages subject to AL Income Tax (effective 1/1/24), updates provide automated logic to calculate exempt wages with ability to pull monthly and quarterly reports. MasterTax support also provided.
Year-End Required Updates to remain compliant: To help you stay compliant, updates have been completed for Year-End, including support for 2024 State Withholding W-4 forms and calculations for MT & IA, State EFW2 file format updates, 2024 New Tax calculations and 2024 updated CA Wage form.

Benefits Plan Updates: Improve visibility and operational efficiency with additional mass update functionality to the Offered Benefit Plan Search Dashboard, 88 new fields based on the Benefits Plan Category, and an updated Benefits Batch Search dashboard that enables you to search by client number and other new searchable fields such as plan type.
Additionally, you can now save even more time by cloning Offered Benefit Plans from a parent company’s Benefit Batch record to a child related workspace.
Employee Benefits Detail Form Updates: Updated fields in the Employee Benefits Detail form make lookups and API mappings easier.
Quick Case Search Functionality: Improved search functionality and performance.
Adjustments for Long-Form Names: Improved visibility of longer names on popups that allow you to see the full name without it running off the screen.
