The December 2025 Release is scheduled to be deployed on the following days: 12/11, 12/12. Each month we release new features and enhancements across the platform to help you compete, operate efficiently, and expand opportunities to deliver value to your clients.

Check out recently-delivered new functionality and enhancements in the September 2025, October 2025 and November 2025 releases.

December Release Highlights

Compliance: Year-End Compliance, Reporting

OBBBA Qualified Tip & OT Register and W-2 Build Update: The system now supports importing a Qualified Overtime and Tip Register, as well as updates for 2025 W-2 Box 14 reporting.

Tax Deduction W-2 Box 14 Reporting Overrides: You can now add or suppress tax deduction details in Box 14 on Form W-2, with added support for private PFML plans and related W-2 reporting requirements.

WH-347 Form Revision: The form has been updated to the January 2025 version, while the prior version will remain available through its expiration date. The report format and reporting components have also been improved.

Benefits Administration: Compliance

Secure 2.0 – Deemed Roth: You can now define your plan’s Deemed Roth provision at the plan level or override it at the client level. All options halt pretax contributions for Highly Paid Employees (HPEs) once total pretax contributions reach the 402(g) limit.

Report Center: Compliance, Data Access

OBBBA Dashboard: Use the TTOC Position Code Audit to review SOC codes and determine the correct Treasury Tipped Occupation Code (TTOC), the Overtime Exempt Audit to identify employees with reported tips who qualify for new exemptions, and the Qualified Tips & Overtime Audit to download your completed OBBBA review in a format ready for the PrismHR Data Import Tool.

Secure Act 2.0 Dashboard: Perform an analysis to determine if an employee qualifies as a HPE for the purposes of mandatory catch-up contributions, and whether they are currently flagged as such in PrismHR. You can also access this information on a secondary page that is pre-formatted for the PrismHR Data Import Tool.

Applicant Tracking System: Self-Service Functionality

Two-Way Email: Communicate with candidates directly within the ATS without the need to switch platforms. With Microsoft 365 integration, hiring teams can seamlessly send and receive emails within the ATS and even send messages on behalf of another authenticated user to enhance collaboration. This feature streamlines communication and enhances team flexibility throughout the hiring process.

ClientSpace: Operational Efficiency

Automated Scheduled Surveys: Save time and reduce errors with automated surveys in ClientSpace. Surveys can now be scheduled to send automatically after a defined period, such as following client implementations, ensuring consistent and timely delivery.

COMPLIANCE

Workbook Descriptions: Add clear, customizable context to every workbook. This new feature—launching at the end of December—allows editors and administrators to enter a description when creating a workbook. Users can then view these descriptions directly from the homepage (table or card view) or in the sidebar when selecting a report before running it.

December Focus: Operational Efficiency, Self-Service Functionality

Highlights

End-of-Year Tax Forms Now Available: The Employee Portal is now prepared to display end-of-year tax forms when you are ready to publish them. Supported forms include:

  • W-2
  • W-2C
  • 1099
  • 1095C

Secure 2.0 Act Enhancements: To support compliance with the Secure 2.0 Act, a new Roth catch-up banner message is available to display to employees classified as Highly Paid Employees (HPEs) under IRS guidelines. Service providers can customize the banner messaging, as needed.

BENEFITS ADMINISTRATION & ENROLLMENT

December Focus: Compliance

Highlights

Secure 2.0 – Deemed Roth: You can now define your plan’s Deemed Roth provision at the plan level or override it at the client level. All options halt pretax contributions for Highly Paid Employees (HPEs) once total pretax contributions reach the 402(g) limit.
If your plan includes a Deemed Roth directive, you can choose from these options:

  • Pre-tax Catch-Up to Roth Catch-Up after 402(g) limit: Once pretax contributions reach the 402(g) amount, only Pretax Catch-Up elections will be directed to Roth Catch-Up.
  • Pre-tax Catch-Up to Roth Catch-Up before 402(g) limit: Pretax Catch-Up contributions will be directed to Roth immediately.
  • Pre-tax to Roth and Pretax Catch-Up to Roth Catch-Up after 402(g) limit: Once pretax contributions reach the 402(g) amount, all pretax contributions will be directed to the corresponding Roth.

Secure 2.0 – Auto Escalator Update Utility: Reporting is now available upon update or for batches processed prior to the update, providing greater visibility and audit capability.

Highlights

Mandatory Roth Catch-Up Support: We’ve added the ability to retrieve and update Mandatory Roth Catch-Up information on an employee record, ensuring compliance with Secure 2.0 requirements.

December Focus: Self-Service Functionality, Operational Efficiency

Highlights

Automated Scheduled Surveys: Save time and reduce errors with automated surveys in ClientSpace. Surveys can now be scheduled to send automatically after a defined period, such as following client implementations, ensuring consistent and timely delivery.

Benefit Plan Manager – External User Access to Multiple Clients/Batches: External users can now switch between multiple clients or batches without repeated multi-factor authentication. This enhancement speeds up navigation and creates a smoother experience for managing client benefit approvals.

HCM – Client Implementation: You can now create HCM clients directly in ClientSpace using the new HCM Implementation forms, making it easier to organize and manage your HCM client information. This enhancement sets the stage for future functionality—soon you’ll be able to export HCM client data into HCM.

Offered Benefit Plan (OBP) – Mass Update: You can now update multiple Offered Benefit Plans at once using the new mass update feature for plan setup fields. This enhancement streamlines your process, making it easier to ensure upcoming plans are configured smoothly, efficiently and accurately.

Client Groups: Manage multiple clients with ease using the new Client Groups feature. This streamlined interface allows service providers to bundle multiple clients into a single group, assign roles and track employees across clients, and grant users access to entire groups while maintaining different security roles per client. This enhancement delivers maximum flexibility and control for managing complex client relationships.

Highlights

Highlights

Early Access Beta Launched December 1: We’ve officially kicked off the Early Access Closed Beta for our new Onboarding experience!

  • Goal: Validate core functionality and identify any major bugs or gaps

Highlights

AI in Performance Emails: Use expanded AI capabilities to assist in writing performance-related emails, reducing time spent and improving message quality.

Employee and Manager Notifications: Notify employees and manager when a form is due or requires resubmission, helping keep performance tasks on schedule.

Employee Check-In Widget: Show upcoming check-ins in a new dashboard widget, making it easier for employees and managers to stay prepared and engaged.

Overall Score Report: Access a new report that combines manager and employer ratings to provide a clear, comprehensive view of overall performance.

Highlights

Standardized Conversion of Worked Hours to Decimal Format: Convert worked hours automatically from hh:mm to PrismHR’s two-digit decimal standard, ensuring consistency between Workforce Management and PrismHR.
Example: 40:15 converts to 40.25 hours

New Supervisor Permission for Frozen Punches: Allow Supervisors to review and recover Frozen Punches—previously limited to Timesheet Administrators—providing greater flexibility to manage and approve timecard exceptions.
