The August 2025 Release is scheduled to be deployed on the following days: 8/28, 8/29.

Each month we release new features and enhancements across the platform to help you compete, operate efficiently, and expand opportunities to deliver value to your clients.

August Release Highlights

Report Center: Data Access

Benefit Enrollment Dashboard for Plan Transparency: Quickly view which plans employees elected or waived and gain visibility into benefit configurations. This dashboard ensures accurate plan setup and delivery of benefit workflows.

PrismONE ID Dashboard for Real-Time User Insights: See all users in the system and their PrismONE ID registration status. Launching August 27th, the dashboard updates data in real time and allows comparison of migrated users by type.

Employee Portal: Operational Efficiency

Streamlined New Hire Entry for Managers: Managers can now enter a new hire’s Social Security Number and Date of Birth directly in the New Hire Dashboard, removing the need for employees to input this information themselves.

Highlights

PrismONE ID Dashboard for Real-Time User Insights: See all users in the system and their PrismONE ID registration status. Launching August 27th, the dashboard updates data in real time and allows comparison of migrated users by type.

Highlights

Flexible Start and Stop Dates for Bundled Billing Rules: Improve control over billing with new options to set start and stop dates for bundled billing rules. This update enables proactive configuration before activation, ensuring smoother rule execution.

Payroll Calculation Warning for Zero Net Vouchers: Reduce payroll errors with a new warning that flags vouchers containing gross wages but zero net pay. This helps users quickly identify potential issues that may require review.

Streamlined HPE Data Import for Roth Catch-Up Compliance: Support Secure Act 2.0 requirements with simplified data imports for Highly Paid Employees. The update makes it easier to identify employees exceeding $145K in prior-year compensation and update records for Roth catch-up contributions.

Highlights

Streamlined New Hire Entry for Managers: Managers can now enter a new hire’s Social Security Number and Date of Birth directly in the New Hire Dashboard, removing the need for employees to input this information themselves.

Accurate Time Tracking for Salaried Employees: When managers manually enter hours for a salaried employee, the system now prompts to automatically reduce default pay code hours, ensuring accurate totals and simplifying adjustments.

More Inclusive Dependent Gender Options: Employees can now select “Declined to State” or “Non-binary” as dependent gender options, aligning with System Parameter settings and supporting more inclusive data collection.

Modernized Lookup Selectors Across Benefits: Save time with updated lookup selectors that now use a modern, streamlined design for easier selection and improved usability.

Benefit Utilities Update for Orphaned Records: Maintain cleaner data with new utilities that address orphaned records caused by deleted relationship codes.

Quick Access to Benefit Rules Import Sample File: Simplify setup with a direct link to the import header file when creating benefit rules—making it easier to format and validate data before upload.

Expanded Dependent Gender Options: Support more inclusive benefits administration with a dropdown that now reflects Gender Options configured in System Parameters.

Benefits Enrollment

Expanded Dependent Gender Options in Enrollment: Ensure consistency across the platform with a Dependent Gender dropdown that now reflects Gender Options configured in System Parameters.

Decision Support Integrations for Smarter Benefit Choices: Simplify enrollment decisions with new integrations to Healthee and Nayya. Employees receive personalized recommendations and education to make selecting benefits easier and more informed.

August Focus: Operational Efficiency, Data Access

Highlights

Enhanced API Security for Manager and PTO Approver Data: Strengthen user data protections with support for manager and trusted advisor security settings, now extended to manager and PTO approver roles.

NAICS Code Descriptions Available via API: Access clearer business classification details with the addition of NAICS code descriptions in CodeFilesService.getNAICSCodeList.

API Access to Client Retirement Plan Information: Easily retrieve retirement plan lists, including start and stop dates, using ClientMasterService.getRetirementPlanList.

Expanded API Fields for Greater Flexibility: Leverage new fields across client benefit plan setup, group benefit plans and client details to support broader data management needs.

Talent Management

August Focus: Operational Efficiency, Self-Service Functionality

Highlights

Multi-Step Applications for Flexible Candidate Workflows: Capture missing information with new multi-step applications that can be sent outside the standard hiring process. Recruiters can track application statuses directly in the candidate list, while completed forms are stored in the candidate’s document section for easy access.

August Focus: Self-Service Functionality, Performance and Stability

Highlights

Disclaimer Acknowledgement in Benefit Plan Manager: Add an extra layer of compliance with new disclaimer acknowledgements in Benefit Plan Manager. Clients must confirm by selecting a checkbox before proceeding, giving SMBs more control over disclosures.

Graph API Transition for Email Integrations: Prepare for Microsoft’s IMAP deprecation with a transition to Graph API for email account processing. The Professional Services team will guide clients through the migration to ensure a smooth update.

Contact Type Recipients in Email Templates: Improve client communication with the ability to send emails to contacts by type, such as “Owner.” This enhancement ensures all active SMB contacts receive relevant updates automatically.

Compliance

August Focus: Operational Efficiency & Compliance

Highlights

Registered Apprentice and Journeyworker Designation for WH-347 Reporting: Improve compliance reporting with updated WH-347 functionality. Employers can now designate employees as Registered Apprentices or Journeyworkers, with integration into the updated WH-347 coming in a future release.

Expanded EEO Ethnic Codes for More Accurate Reporting: Better align with federal reporting standards with a new EEO code category for Middle Eastern / North African. Updated code descriptions also provide clearer alignment with official EEO categories.

Granular Control of Non-Cash Fringe in Gross Wage Calculations: Gain flexibility in wage reporting with new options to include or exclude non-cash fringe pay codes. Global configuration now allows exclusion from gross wages, while individual codes can be marked to display on check stubs as needed.

Global PTO Adjustments for Mid-Plan Year Enablement: Ensure accurate accrual tracking when enabling global PTO mid-plan year. Posted vouchers will be accounted for during the next payroll calculation, preventing misalignment without retroactively changing prior accruals.

Workforce Management

August Focus: Operational Efficiency, Integrations

Highlights

SSO Login Without Welcome Email: Enable employees and managers to access Workforce Management through the PrismHR Portal without requiring a welcome email. This update simplifies login with Single Sign-On (SSO), while mobile users will still need an email invitation to register.

Enhanced Syncing for Manager Assignments, Divisions, Projects and Hours: Simplify setup with new syncing options for Manager and PTO Approver fields from PrismHR to Workforce Management. Users can also auto-sync Divisions and Projects as Groups, benefit from nightly backups and sync hours as weekly totals instead of daily.

Employee Proposals for Missed Punches: Make correcting missed punches easier with employee-submitted punch proposals. Employees can suggest missed times directly in the Portal, with manager approval required to finalize changes.
