The April 2025 Release is scheduled to be deployed on the following days: 4/18, 4/19. Each month we release new features and enhancements across the platform to help you compete, operate efficiently, and expand opportunities to deliver value to your clients.

April Release Highlights

PAYROLL & HR: Operational Efficiency

Payroll Variance Analysis: Improve confidence in your payroll accuracy using Payroll Variance Analysis which allows you to quickly identify discrepancies by comparing current payroll runs to previous ones—all within a single, easy-to-use tool. Gain visibility, reduce errors and streamline payroll reviews.

BENEFITS ENROLLMENT: Employee Experience

Employer-Funded HSA Reduction Limit: Help employees make informed decisions during enrollment with the new Employer-Funded HSA Reduction Limit feature. This enhancement automatically factors in employer contributions and alerts employees if their selections exceed IRS limits, reducing errors and improving compliance.

EMPLOYEE PORTAL: Employee Experience

Enhanced Tax Form Experience (Open Beta): Empower employees with a more intuitive way to manage their tax forms through our newly redesigned UEX experience. Now available as an open beta, this streamlined interface simplifies tax form access and submission for a smoother, more user-friendly experience.

WORKFORCE MANAGEMENT: Integrations

Enhanced Job Costing & Tracking: Improve labor cost tracking with expanded job and labor type allocations. The enhanced integration between PrismHR and Workforce Management allows employers to assign hours more accurately across divisions, jobs, and work activities—boosting efficiency through automation while minimizing manual effort.

CLIENTSPACE: Operational Efficiency

Paid Family Medical Leave Compliance: Stay ahead of compliance requirements with automatic notifications for Delaware’s Paid Family Medical Leave (PFML). This feature alerts service providers when their WSE count reaches 10 or more, ensuring timely action to meet state participation requirements

Payroll & HR

April Focus: Operational Efficiency, Security

Highlights

Payroll Variance Analysis: Improve confidence in payroll accuracy using Payroll Variance Analysis which allows you to quickly identify discrepancies by comparing current payroll runs to previous ones—all within a single, easy-to-use tool. Gain visibility, reduce errors and streamline payroll reviews.

Reprint Garnishment Checks: Gain more control over payroll permissions with enhanced access management for Reprint Garnishment Checks. A new, separate HR role in WSM and WTA allows you to give users access to reprint payroll checks without granting access to garnishment checks—or vice versa—ensuring tighter control and security.

Payroll Reversal and Miscellaneous Invoice Notifications: Stay informed with new notifications for payroll reversals and miscellaneous invoices. These updates complete the payroll finalization notification process, keeping you aware of all key actions and improving communication across your payroll operations.

PTO Trigger Method Flexibility: Tailor your PTO management with the new “First of Quarter” trigger method in Paid Time Off Setup. This added flexibility gives you more control over how and when PTO is accrued, supporting customized time-off policies to better meet your organizational needs.

April Focus: Operational Efficiency, Self-Service Functionality, UI/UX

Highlights

(Manager Self-Service) Seamless Job Candidate Conversion: Simplify hiring by seamlessly converting job candidates from any applicant tracking system into new hires, eliminating manual data entry and accelerating the onboarding process.

(Manager Self-Service) Enhanced Payroll Voucher Insights: Empower worksite managers with deeper payroll visibility by providing drill-down access to employee pay vouchers, including detailed breakdowns of deductions, benefits, and taxes—all within the Portal.

Increased Visibility into Total Compensation: Employees can now access a comprehensive view of their total compensation, including retirement details, with the ability to print or download their records in PDF and CSV formats for better record-keeping.

Enhanced Tax Form User Experience Now in beta, the redesigned tax form update process features a guided experience with clear progress indicators and built-in assistance, making tax updates easier than ever.

Highlights

BENEFITS ENROLLMENT

Employer-Funded HSA Reduction Limit: Help employees make informed decisions during enrollment with the new Employer-Funded HSA Reduction Limit feature. This enhancement automatically factors in employer contributions and alerts employees if their selections exceed IRS limits, reducing errors and improving compliance.

BENEFITS ADMINISTRATION

Gross % Wage Contribution: Simplify dependent enrollment with the new Gross % Wage Contribution option. Benefit Rules can now accommodate gross percentage wage contributions, enabling accurate and seamless enrollment of dependents based on wage-based calculations.

Plan Renewal Dates: Stay organized and on schedule with new fields for tracking plan renewal dates at both the plan and client levels. This update makes it easier to manage benefit timelines and ensures you never miss a renewal deadline.

Group Benefit Plans | Deduction/Bill Code Display: Streamline benefit setup with a new, user-friendly table for managing deduction and billing codes within Group Benefit Plans. Easily view deduction types and rebate bill codes, improving setup speed and reducing errors.

Benefit Plan Setup and Rules | Selection List: Speed up navigation using the new one-click lookup from Benefit Plan Setup to Benefit Rules. This feature enhances efficiency by allowing quick access and selection of rules directly within your benefit plan workflow.

API

April Focus: Data Access, Integrations, Performance & Stability, Security

Highlights

Expanded Data Access: Gain deeper insights and improved data management with expanded data access capabilities. Now, you can read and write additional fields, including bulk benefit group history, leave request approver, and denied reason—giving you greater control over critical workforce data. 

Enhanced Payroll Security: Strengthen payroll security with new controls that limit options on payroll vouchers. This update ensures only authorized actions can be performed, helping reduce risk and enhancing compliance.

API Endpoint Updates: Optimize data handling with enhanced API endpoint support for EIN formatting. Updates to key endpoints—including getEmployeeBySSN, lookupBySSN, and getEmployeeHireType—ensure smoother integrations and improved accuracy in employee data management.
We have added a V2 version for updating an employees address which supports Symmetry and  will identify school districts automatically.

Multi-Step Applications for Hiring Flexibility: Enhance your hiring process with multi-step applications. This feature enables hiring teams to request additional information from candidates after their initial application, streamlining recruitment while offering greater flexibility.

Legacy Candidate Hire Option for PrismHR Users: Enjoy flexibility in your hiring workflow with the option to use the legacy Candidate Hire method. Ideal for users who do not have or prefer not to use Onboarding, this feature maintains a familiar process while supporting seamless candidate transitions.

Highlights

April Focus: Operational Efficiency, Compliance Reporting

Highlights

Automated Benefit Per Hour Reporting: Simplify compliance with automated reporting for Certified Payroll reports and check stubs. Employers using the 4(c) exception approach to prevailing wage can now leverage the Benefit Per Hour form alongside the Benefit Per Hour rate to seamlessly report fringe benefits or cash in lieu of fringe, eliminating the need for manual calculations and additional reports.

Customizable Wage Calculation: Gain greater control over payroll calculations with the ability to exclude Non-Cash Fringe from Gross and Net Wage totals on check stubs. Employers using the “Always Display Gross and Net Wages” option can now customize which pay codes are included, ensuring more accurate wage reporting and improved clarity for employees.
